Integration guides

Verified Ham is a standard OpenID Connect provider, so anything that supports "Sign in with OpenID Connect" works. These guides walk through the settings for the most common platforms and libraries, start to finish.

Platforms

  • Discourse Let members of a Discourse forum sign in with their call sign. No code: settings only.
  • Discord roles Give a role in your Discord server only to members with a verified call sign. No bot to run.
  • WordPress Add call sign sign-in to a club website running WordPress, with a free plugin.
  • Keycloak Add Verified Ham as an identity provider in Keycloak, for every app behind it.

Libraries

  • Next.js (Auth.js) A custom OpenID Connect provider for Auth.js, in a dozen lines.
  • Node.js (openid-client) The full sign-in flow with the openid-client library, in an Express app.
  • Python (Authlib) Sign-in for a Flask app with Authlib, which reads everything from discovery.
  • PHP, no library The whole flow in plain PHP with curl: authorize, exchange the code, read the claims.

Something else?

Point any OpenID Connect client at the discovery document, turn on PKCE (S256), and ask for the openid callsign scopes. The reference has the endpoints, scopes and claims. Try a sign-in first in the playground.
